The Shpil is a Los Angeles-based band with roots in klezmer and branches extending into Balkan and Eastern European melodies, songs from Yiddish theater, Middle Eastern modes, folk, jazz, tango and more. Leaping shtetls and genres in a single bound, The Shpil is equally at ease in bars and at Bar Mitzvahs.
